[2000-08-11] Playboy has rolled out the final honorable mention comic strip in their Comix & Animation Contest entitled "The Kids" by Juan Alvarez and Jorge Gomez. Visitors can now vote for the "audiences' favorite" from the honorable mention toons and strips. The first prize winner TRIPPING THE RIFT is also airing. The Film Roman and Level 13 Net toon follows the trials that Captain Chode and his galactic crew have to face when his nemesis Bobo comes back for revenge. RIFT also airs on Level 13.net.

[2000-08-04] Playboy has started to air the picks from their Comix & Animation Contest. The first of this week's toons is HAIRBALLS, created by Mr. Lawrence of Film Roman, and features a trio of cats dealing with the everyday trials and tribulations of being a house cat. BIG FUN SHOW! finds the superheroes of the Justice League of America looking for a new member from applicants such as Super Fly and Jesus.
