The first installment finds a spaceship under attack and the one man who can help is off-duty. Also this week icebox premiered another new series PAULA PRINCIPLE, featuring Chester Foster a very reluctant presidential candidate. On SUPERHERO ROOMMATE, Russell can't handle Neil's disregard for his well-taken phone messages. On the third Webisode of WEEKEND PUSSY HUNT, Cigarettes the Cat blows smoke in poor Dirty Dog's face - and the taunting tabby isn't puffing rings from his mouth. On POKER NIGHT, the dog pack calls the weekly game short to hit the singles bar to find out who is really the top dog in the group.

The new installment of MR. WONG is a colorful music video set to the closing theme of the series. In SUPERHERO ROOMMATE, Russell and Neil battle over the age-old roommate dispute -- who buys the next round of toilet paper when the last roll is finished? Fredrick Douglas comes to visit President Lincoln in the latest episode of HARD DRINKIN' LINCOLN. The president makes sure Douglas knows who emancipated whom! The last episode until the fall of GARBAGE ISLAND has also been released. After fleeing from the overstock section at Orphans Inc., the kid finds himself sinking to the bottom of the ocean as the Pink-haired Girl and the rest of orphans are shipped off to Garbage Island. In departures, the Cheer's spoof, HEAVEN, created by Kevin Curran and starring the likenesses of JFK and Princess Diana, has been removed from the line-up with no return date announced.

[2000-11-17] Like many of Icebox's toons MEET THE MILLERS is very edgy. The jokes push all the buttons of racism, sexism, ethnocentricity and many other touchy issues. However, the toon does it in an intriguing format of a 1950s TV sitcom. The paranoid ideals of the '50s addressed in the toon seem ridiculous by today's standards. That's why the series works. In making fun of everything from white relations with African-Americans to Communism, the series makes fun of the people who actually held paranoid beliefs in the past. The best installment of the series is the "Identical Cousins" Webisode where Nancy's French identical cousin comes and steals her prom date. The installment hits every stereotype in the book. Sometimes, the best way to show how wrong a stereotype is, is to show how ridiculous it sounds.

[2000-09-15] Over at Icebox.com there is a little archived gem called Garbage Island. "Episode 5: Orphans Inc." is one to check out, especially. The toon paints an interestingly bleak future where children receive new toys everyday. Everything has been made corporate -- even orphanages. Twisted and intriguing character design sets this series apart from the pack. Hooray to creator Mel Horan for making a smart and thought-provoking Webtoon. Icebox should air more shows like Garbage Island and less shows like Hidden Celebrity Webcam.
